fabric,batting and coordinating backing is then sewn together crosswise, then around the edges about an inch from edge, after the quilt is sewn together you then snip all around the squares being careful to not cut into the stitched seam,when washed the edges will tatter,

MaryAnn, it is something you can piece together while sitting with hubby in the evening,,I will add how to asap, step by step..I made my daughter Ben one, working on Kristys..she like mints and greens,,I want a autunm one..smile~
