Flea/Yard find~Thomas Radio/Old table and more~

I liked the look of this Thomas radio,found at a yard sale,table was a great find,the cute tea pot is a mesh,will be great for tea bags,the wire basket I painted white,The table will be painted next week,really looks great on my top verandah.

The radio sounds really good,I am surprised at the quailty.

The table is in great condition,love the knobby legs,I grabbed it up fast.

Just had to have this little teapot.It looks Vintage,thats what caught my eye~



The mesh and wrought Iron wall pocket was my find of the week,needs a good brushing,and painted,be pretty with ivy and roses.

Memories in the Trunk~

Sitting in the attic,looking through grannys old chests,letters held together with ribbons aged with time, post marked from far away places,
My grandfathers purple heart, a satin pillow with a "Love Poem" he choose for granny with love.
My grandfather "William" never came home from the war, his uniform,medals and the flag from his casket is all granny had of the love she thought would last a lifetime.
The old cedar chest smells of warm old cedar, dried roses and vintage perfume.
As I held grannys memories,I felt her soft hands on her treasures.
an old crochet basket with hand twisted flowers and buttons.

This table and chairs, I had forgotten about, I remember granny had this set for tea parties,there were matching cupboard and big table and chairs to match, it is in need of some loving care, which I will give it.

Over the years the other chair was lost.

I am tring to work my way to a iron day bed,I can see it,I have a long way to go to lay hands on. smile~
Plan to add the day bed to the top verandah,be great to sleep out this Autumn,listening to the creek,night creatures.

Creating a Pillow Case Treasure~~ Chenille and Roses~

Projects galore..I thought I would start early on some items needing a fresh pick me up~,finished painting several items, to add on the top veranda, dragged out a vinatge chenille spread,has a few defects,good for a cut up project.
Covered my wicker settee cushion in chenille,sewed 2 accent pillows,love the soft chenille look.
Cut the trims off the edge, added a section to my pillow..looks good.

Next I had several pillow cases with roses,a little blue,
Cut 1 pillow case in two sections used these as the toss pillows.
Added a coordinating stripe pink ruffle to the bottom of one case..stuffed a pillow in,..Wow. it looks great and so easy to sew.

My sitting area, a place to daydream,watch nature awake each morning and write in my journal..

The sun had faded the old pillows. An easy way to bring new life into old.

Vintage Rose Tea Parlour Collages

I tried new settings on my camera today,the results were pretty good.
The photos are more focused.
Vintage Pearl Gloves, and old pearls and roses,in a wicker basket.
I am going to create a blog set from these photos..

Tea Cup Collection

For many years I have collected tea cups, tea pots anything tea.
These precious china treasures are placed in nooks and crannys in my home.

Many of the mini tea cups shown here are from "Tender Heart".

The gold rose shown, is from my rose garden,LaMarr chose one, had it dipped in gold for our anniversary

Banana Split Cake

2 C Graham Cracker Crumbs 2 tbsp Sugar 1/2 C Butter, melted 2 Eggs 1 C Soft Margarine 2 C Powdered Sugar 4-6 Bananas 1 can Crushed Pineapple, drained 1 large container Cool Whip 3/4 C Chopped Nuts 1/2 C Cherries Mix crumbs, butter, and sugar and spread evenly into 9X13 pan Pat down Beat eggs, soft margarine, and powdered sugar with mixer, about 10 minutes. Spread evenly over graham cracker pie crust. Cover with sliced bananas and drained pineapple. Cover with Cool Whip. Sprinkle with nuts and cherries. Refrigerate overnight.
